Looks like this catergory isn't too popular! ;D
This isn't my story but it is about my son's long term friend Zack.
Son is a sophmore(grade 10) and Zack is a freshman(grade 9)have known each other since 2nd grade I think.
Zack seemed to have the roughest time of things as far as school and peers. Always picked on and bullied. He was quite a bit overweight.
He was never shy but kids still tormented him.
So he failed the 8th grade and had to stay in middle school and repeat the year. It seems like then is when he made his transformation. I saw him once over at son's during a guitar jam session. He was just learning to play and was teaching himself. So then probably a year passes and I go visit son and he is there and I barely recognized him. Didn't even look like the same kid. He had lost all the weight. He had changed his hair longer and blonde highlights in it. He was talking about going on dates. They were playing their guitars and he could really play. So then just recently I went over there and he was there and he was like my name, check out my biceps. lol Well the kid had been working out. Son said he was pretty popular at school now.
So what made the difference in a transformation from kid being bullied to being popular? I guess in his case making changes in himself and to have the will power to stick with it.
You know, I am 43 years old and have a hard enough time sticking to something so I gotta admire a 15 year old who made major changes like that.
